Gentleman, MACD is basically a divergence between two specified moving averages. It is truly not an indicator of sentiment. The difference is between the fast and slow moving averages. The lengths of the MA' must be different or the indicator will be reversed.. This indicator is usually better at signaling the beginning of a bullish move. Howard Morin
