Used to be able to go to Doubleclicks web and submit an Opt out request.
I did this about a year ago. I just tried going to doubleclick and netscape
can't seem to find them.

What they did was submit a cookie:

server expires name value
doubleclick.net 11/9/30 id OPT_OUT

I haven't received any cookies from them since then. I'm not sure how it
works or if it's fluff FWIW...

Not sure about this but, I think there's a way to modify the cookie files, correct?
If so, you might try replacing/modify an existing doubleclick
cookie with the above and see if it works.

Also, might check out grc.com
