I've already both said and implied that I believe the problem didn't lie as much with the CIA as with how the Bush admin used CIA raw data Then you believe it despite the evidence of David Kay, George Tenet, Ken Pollack, and every CIA analyst. Not one (to the credit of their honesty) says that their analysis was ignored by ideologues in the Administration. THE CIA ANALYSIS SAID THAT SADDAM HUSSEIN HAD WMDs. THEY ALL SAID THIS. Who the hell could have supplied evidence for the astounding assertion that Saddam had either given the stuff up, or he hadn't given it up but his scientists were all lying to him? For this this was willing to endure the sanctions and lose $200 billion in oil revenues? WTF?!
