Briefcase's usefulness:

Briefcase addresses the problem of trying to do your work on more than one computer. The challenge being that if you take your files home and change them, the copies on your office machine and the copies on your home system are no longer the same. This isn't TOO much of a challenge when you're talking one or two files, but if you change files by the dozen, and forget which ones, you've really stepped into a computing cow-pie.

Briefcase allows you to automate the process of synchronizing those files you use on different machines.

1) Copy files to your Briefcase folder
2) Copy files from Briefcase folder to floppy
3) Copy files from floppy to second machine
4) Work using files on second machine
5) When done, open second computer's Briefcase and run Update
6) Put floppy into first computer and run Update

The first computer will update its files from the Briefcase folder on the floppy disk. Correctly.

Hope this helps, PW.

P.S. A thank-you to the person who's been posting in this numbered instruction format for the last couple of days. I find it easy to follow. However, if you're going to use Hexadecimal numbers, why not start at zero?
