Sandisk is going to get to their 8Gb chip before Infineon manages a 1Gb chip!
Actually Lam's Bagley was referring to 8Gb parts in conjunction with memory makers at the very same conference;
he made a comment that @70 nm 200mm fabs will be more or less driven out of business.
LRCX captured a good portion of Toshiba's etch business (300mm fab)

It's somewhat odd to me that both IFX and MU kind of struggling but one thing is for sure:
as geometries get smaller technical problems will increase (significantly)
