It's been a while since I've read such an unintelligent post. Maybe it was the last time I was over at the ESOL thread! To say that earnings are not important is inane. No, earnings aren't EVERYTHING, but just like knowing how to dribble, shoot and pass are important fundamentals to basketball (i.e., you can't be a consistant winner without them), no company/stock can be successful in maximizing shareholder value over the long run without earnings. Next you say that Ampex is innovative, AND that their technology is outdated. These statements purely contradict each other. Regarding bringing technology to market, I guess you may have a point here if you focus solely upon KM. Outside of that, there is a ton of Ampex technology on the market. I certainly know a few people who own VCR's, don't you Norman? And the media industries use boatloads of Ampex technology. On top of all this, Norman, your grammar isn't so good either.
