After a week running Norton Firewall Pro, I would run into a series of web pages that once brought up on the screen would run the CPU continuously at 100% for a minute. When this starts to happen, this behavior continues for each successive web page. Symantec is aware of the problem. Several months after the first report, they thought they provided a fix for it. But the fix did not work. Now it must be at least one year since the first report of this CPU problem, with other users still encountering the same problem. All Symantec did is erase the discussion regarding the problem from their web site.

I wish I could manage problems like this.

FWIW, a brief time on my soap box. :-)
