But I still have issue with the class of sales personnel who reject the notion of the change to use SFA.

I'm a salesperson who owns shares of Siebel and am not precluded from owning other front office stocks. But I recognize the limitations of front office software when some of the people being asked to use it still don't know how to turn on a computer and would rather never learn.

25 years from now sales forces will be made up of people who, as children, grew up with computers in their laps. Until then, there is a HUGE transition to make. The transition will gradually happen, but it will come from a combination of improved apps and a better understanding of how and why to use them. It will require far improved communication between the software designers, the sales management teams, and the folks in the trenches -- the sales people. That won't happen overnight.
