Joseph was sold into slavery by his brother for speaking that very truth.
Jesus was practically killed by his own townsmen for speaking that fact !
I don't expect you to believe anything about God at this point.
You are still trying to point out that it is illogical to believe the Bible is the Word of God.
How could you know anything for sure about God at all?
You are in the same boat that many professing Christians are in.
They demand that God must be as they want Him to be of they will not 'serve" Him :-}
No God is not a "spoiled child" that favours individuals because they are pleasing to Him.
No man is of Himself pleasing to God.
We are all like the broken and ugly toys next door.
God chooses and favours some by His own sovereign choice.
Are you so silly as to think all men are born equal?
They are Equal under Law and the Covenant of Works.
After that nothing is equal... some receive much ...
some receive little ... some receive nothing at all!
Does God play favorites?
Is it not lawful for Him to do what He will with His own?
If I give one beggar a dollar must I give a dollar to everyone else in this world?
Or as Jesus said:
Matthew 20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
Jesus will give eternal life to whosoever HE CHOOSES !
Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father;
and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
Again:
Psalms 106:4 Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people:
O visit me with thy salvation;
Again:
John 21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.
Even Jesus did not love all the disciples the same and they knew it!
John 21:20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following;
which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
Eleven Disciples were saved... one of them was loved above the rest even as was Joseph.
Joseph was loved above his brothers both by his natural father and his Heavenly Father.
Favour is indeed a basic element of Salvation..
Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
