MS Outlook question

I recently changed the e-mail on my wife's Win XP computer to MS Outlook. I set the incoming and outgoing servers correctly and it worked fine. However when you re-boot the computer hangs up. Task manager indicates Pop3trap.exe is using 99% of CPU resources. Apparently this is part of the PCCillin AV program. When I look at Outlook I see that the incoming server has been reset to localhost. When I try to get email, of course it gives error message. If I reset it, I can get e-mail. BTW: When I was using Netscape mail on that computer it worked fine. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Is it possible an issue between Outlook 2000 and XP?

Thanks
Alan
