I agree with you wholeheartedly. :) If a trader can't trust his own abilities and instincts, then he will quickly fall prey to just about any tip out here. I often find it intriguing however just to watch how the "illusion" of greater intelligence is created in the online trading forum. As a matter of fact I would think it may be a good exercise for a new trader to Watch a couple of popular chat rooms for a few hours (empahsis on watch..not trade) just to gain an appreciation for the strength of crowds and on the flipside how those crowds can dissipate.
