The other possibility is that the rumored "swap" of CDMA and GSM patent info. may just be a boiled down interpretation of what is really being negotiated. It would be hard to imagine that a majority of people could grasp more than this out of a news item on the agreement. It could be that the agreement is something totally different, but this is the easiest way for the public to understand it.

It will be interesting to see when/if the details come out.
