Just received some great news that moves me this Memorial Day to toot some familial horn. After 30yrs a mission has been declassified that my cousin participated in during the Vietnam War. The surviving members of his unit travelled to WashDC 2 wks ago to receive their citation from the Secy of the Navy.

They were called the Ghost Squadron, VO-67. The mission was so secret that not even his family members knew the details until it was declassified. They dropped delicate sensors along the Ho Chi Minh trail that detected Vietcong movement, saving numerous American lives. 3 of the planes were shot down, 20 lives lost. Happily, my cousin returned home to his family where he kept the secret for 30yrs.
