Dodging, are we? You don't thik cost affects the availablility of drugs and medical care to the populace? And you don't think humongous awards from lawsuits affect costs?

You think maybe this might have something to do with the cost of drugs in Canada in the US? In Canada you can't get those huge awards.

You told me to "shut up"... As the civil litigation rate per capita was higher in the early 1800s than it is today. It's not a new problem. Go figure out yourself why they decided to leave the litigation system the way it is.
I think John Edwards would be a MUCH better source on this than I.
