i have worked at three companies which have downsized. all cut personell, one outsourced the IT department, the other two increased the technology budget. why? because it was felt technology could help lessen the impact, while being a one time cost, unlike people who wish to be paid ad infinitum.

i do not know the culture well enough to know if they will continue to spend on the technology side and dump people.

but as far as money to purchase the equipment, i figure the same people who extend credit to people with asnd stock would never notice the problems.
