To all:

I know it has been discussed before here, but I never got around to downloading the IE 6.0 - I'm currently using 5.5. If I am running Windows 98 are there any problems with the newest edition? Will it keep all of my stored favorites, and does it in anyway affect the Outlook Express?

I had a major problem with my computer yesterday. After installing a software for work (it apparently has a firewall)it corrupted files and my dsl and my dial-up connection would not work. After two days of troubleshooting I finally got it back up by restoring the registry. The only problem now is that I can't launch the Etrade Market Trader - Etrade says that they can launch it on their end using my password - they said I need to go to Microsoft and "repair my browser" - I went there but could not find this option. This is why I'm thinking that maybe I should just download the 6.0 IE.
Any suggestions?
TIA
