This is a question that Kerry will have to answer convincingly, but I doubt he will make the attempt until after he has secured the nomination. While a commitment to forcefully fighting terrorism will be essential in the general election, as Lieberman discovered it doesn't do you much good when running against other democrats, many of whom are reluctant to use force at all.
