Nemer, >>Well, anyway, Ray Armstrong (my friend) is the granddad of cycling great, world class, world winner on the BIG tour, Lance Armstrong.<<
That is INCREDIBLE!!! I knew I heard Paris TX before. It didn't click. Now I know - that's awesome!!! Can you tell I'm excited?! WOOOWEEEE!!!
It was a huge shock to here about Lance's cancer. I really admire his attitude toward fighting it. I'm very much looking forward to hearing about his comeback. I wish I had his speed and power. I'm fast enough to win local races here and have the endurance to compete in 200 mile and over races. But, there are very few people in the world who are strong and fast enough to compete in the Tour de France - The Ultimate Race and test of endurance.
>>My opinion is that ANYTHING done to excess extracts a future price to be paid.<<
Yes, you are right. But, there is also something to be said about pushing your body and your mind to their limits. It is a very rewarding experience to push beyond what were once pre-conceived limits and survive. You end up learning a lot about yourself.
If you ever see him, say hi from a psychotic cyclist/options trader. Would love to have him visit to show us how a great cyclist rides. The high desert area north of LA is great cycling country.
Take care, the not worthy cyclist |
