The claim is, nobody's figured out how to make money on the Net. That's simply not true. The easiest way to have the Net increase your net is to fire all your testers and have the Netizens do it for free. Oh wait, nothing in this world is free. You have to give them a token reward.

Have you read lately about all the disgruntled AOL "volunteers" who have finally realized their services are worth much less than their two buck per hour AOL credit now that everybody gets unlimited access?

All sorts of interesting possibilities here. Focus groups, mock juries, etc. Those can cost you $50-$200 per day per person. On the Net? You can probably get them for $5. The trick is to disguise the cash payout so that they forget their time is worth anything. Maybe a t-shirt, or a cap.

P.S. I never did get my Midnight Madness t-shirt...
