In re-reading I goofed up, here is what it should say

I have thought all day on your subject, "why do Christians want to control the world?" And I would like to ask when, if at all, has a true Christian ever been in control of the world?

Throughout history we have made fun of those that were living the life of purity from St. Francis and his poverty to the modern day preacher on the corner.

In reality, when was the last time you saw a Christian portrayed in the media as a normal human being and not some wacked out looser in it for his own glory and wealth?

Just because I don't cheat on my wife, I dont swear, I dont drink or use drugs, and I may not participate in the same activities that you do does this mean because I want the best for everyone that God has to offer them, that I am trying to control the world? I think not.

It's funny how you are wanting your freedom, yet you have taken your freedom and abused it even still! You hold that cigarette in your hand that your addicted to, And is killing you, but you wont stop smoking it. You may also find your time and money spent at the local bar, then you drink and drive, and others pay the price for your "freedom". Yet you cant wait to get that next fix or the next bottle of beer.

What has your freedom cost you? You say that it's living, but what does living mean? Yet you still insist that we are trying to control the world cause we dont want you inpregnating our daughters out of wedlock, or killing our kids through drunk driving. It's not ok to call my wife, or any other woman for that matter at bitch, ho, or slut as the music of this generation does. I bet if anyone talked to your mother or do the things they describe in there so called music, the way some rap stars do, you would be ready to beat them to a pulp.

How is wanting to protect my kids mind from this by saying that it is
inapproperate and shouldn't be said censorship. Some things were just not meant to be said, but they say them anyway. Or are you just not listening to what your singing along with?

If it mean protecting my kids from that kind of moral depravity I am all for it? If it means telling my kids they are not the ancestor of some ape and they have a history to be proud of and a destiny to fulfill I am all for it. If it means that they wont participate in your paticular way of thinking or acting, then I am sorry if you say its censorship. Tough!

My son thought the coals on the bbq were something to play with and tried to grab them at one time. I grab his hands and let him feel the heat of the coal. He wont grab coals now cause he knows, as we all should, that some things were not meant for us in the name of freedom.

But if you insist, despite my warnings that those cigarettes and drugs will slowly kill you. despite my warnings and your cries of censorship that its not ok to treat your daughter like the music says I can. despite my warnings that the coals may be pretty but are not to be touched, reach out and grab one. (let me tell you ahead of time as another forwarning, that it doesnt feel good.)

Now I thought the idea of humanity, all religion aside and personal belief of right and wrong out the window, was to look out for each other.

I guess you say you dont need someone to do that for you? The drunk that just killed the boy in the apartment down the street said that too.
