Thanks - I made 2 mistakes; one going against my system which didn't actually go long until close today, and two doubling up on the trade to 10 contracts which resulted in the fatal "margin call" with the drawdown. I had bought into the upside breakout and wanted just a short term profit to 1431 or so with the 10 contracts, but then forgot about it until too late. Actually changing the game plan to grab the short term profit was mistake number 3. Luckily the lesson was with play money! Positional trading is fine but small positions are important, and I agree with the wide stops. P&F I find useful for support and resistance BTW. Thanks for organizing the contest and I appreciate the ongoing dialogue from all the futures discussion members.
