GZ, If you can ever come up with a standardized testing methodology for measuring "arrogance" on a scale --- and then get the suitable candidates to take the test so as to be able to accurately place them on a proper SCALE....
(Say: Obama, McCain, Bush Junior, Clinton, Bush Senior, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, LBJ, etc., etc. Some of this testing would have to be preformed in the antechamber of the afterlife, I understand. <g>)
THEN you might be able to begin convincing folks that your, er... individual perceptions don't say more about yourself than they do about your targets. :-)
(While I'm over here guessing that the raw level of 'arrogance' for most ANY AMERICAN PRESIDENT is likely quite a bit higher than that of the 'average Joe'... and, most likely DESERVEDLY SO. For, after all, very few in this world ever accomplish much that is akin to winning America's highest contest.) |
