re: No it doesn't really depend too much on what GW thinks God is telling him to do. The situation in Iraq is such that even thoroughly incompetent leadership from the president would not lead us to have a death toll on the scale of the Vietnam war.

And you know the future how? Seven more years.

What about the badly wounded... lots more folks died in Vietnam because the field medical care wasn't as advanced. Those kids now survive... although they don't have much of a life to look forward to.
