Brian,

I know that UMC has been more optimistic ... but, the signposts are starting to align ... couple UMC with the TSMC capacity commentary from yesterday ... and the various and sundry other positive statements ... I think we can safely conclude that we are in the midst of some form of recovery ... albeit from low-levels ... that will have a duration longer than a few months (hopefully) ...

By the way ... How 'bout the LRCX order ... AMAT can't have 'em all! Though I assume that LRCX was displacing some TEL there ... there were clearly some slots that AMAT had an eye on ... oxide etch, for one ...

Let's face it, LRCX needed it more than AMAT ...
