It is indeed an interesting question - See when I look at how much time is needed to keep track of a ptf of 10-15 companies - Then looking at a bunch of MM's keeping track of what 2-3K companies. How do they do it ? - without some kind of automatic procedures ? Say if I was to create such a system for traders - I would expect to build in some kind of parameters which could take care of spread and raise/lower policy - without all the time having to look manually at trades. ? Do they only change own bid/ask when they sold or bought or do they also change depending on a coleagues/competitors trades ? Do we have any way to find out if there are some automatics behind.? Maybe I am ramblin - But I do think its interesting to know about such things - Knowledge is the best filter when reading many of the opinions that are posted here in SI. - You Mike are a great resource to a lot of us here - Thanks Br Jens T
