Charles, Let's not forget that those machines are fairly low powered compared with most "large" unix servers.. also one of the weekness on the INtel platform is very high memory latency and low bus speeds (not necessarily clock speeds) as compared to Unix Boxes.. that has nothing to do with the OS tho.. Steve
