The Death of Multiculturalism Its not a surprise to me. Its tracking where I am at..........although as a liberal, I never bought into the multiculturalism bit where you are supposed to speak your own language even when out in public and expect others who speak English to understand you. In fact, we are discussing this in a class that's about racial and cultural sensitivity. One of the women was proposing this in-your-face poem from a black woman who wrote it in the '60s or '70s. All I could think of is Harris and what his reaction would be. So I said to her what do you really hope to accomplish with pushing that kind of poem.......that's full of anger and hatred. She said it was to wake up the white kids. Naturally, a fight broke out. In the end, I think she has reconsidered her position about reading poems like that to her class. And any doubts about my position have been removed by the behavior of the illegals during the past month. First, waving Mexican flags and demanding that we treat them nicely as they break the law. Secondly, threatening their job boycott on Monday. IMO it's really time to get this illegal issue resolved and get them out of this country.
