[Intel and ADSL]

<<<RICHARDSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 1997--Alcatel announced today a technology demonstration with Intel Corporation [Nasdaq:INTC - news] at next week's Comdex show in Las Vegas of a prototype, easy-to-use ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) modem that promises to revolutionize ADSL services for home and business
environments. This prototype is unique in that it simplifies installation by connecting to a personal computer's Universal Serial
Bus (USB).>>>

Pierre --

The key, here, is that Intel is developing standards-compliant DMT in the USB. I posted several months ago that I thought this was their plan.

I'll definitely go to Comdex to check it out. :)

Thanks for posting.
