Jesus said He was meek... Jesus did not ever say He was weak... We are not to render evil for evil... nor do we need to get ourselves killed fighting with Roman Guards. We can take a smack in the face without needing to go to jail fighting with some corrupt police force. Nor do we need to defend our "honor" and demand our rights etc. However Jesus never gave in an inch on TRUTH. He defended it and answered rightly even when He knew that those who asked were merely out to condemn Him. His silence at His own trial is where we get "the right to remain silent" However when they Adjured Him to answer "if He was the son of God" He did not lie.
