An article in Canada's Globe and Mail paper this morning says Sympatico, which is controlled by Bell Canada, is offering ADSL to its subscribers for $69.95 per month.
Bell Canada is selling the ADSL service to ISP at $150 to $250 per month. The ISP are calling BC tactics anti-competitive. Sympatico replies by saying they are losing the same kind of dollars as the ISP will lose. They want to grab some market share before the cable companies get too well established.
Sorry I can't find the URL yet. It may have something to do with waking up this morning in the Toronto area to find 8" of snow on the ground with more forecst throughout the day.
