I wish I had an answer. It would seem to me that the two stocks should have direct proportionality as far as price(within the range of the .9 valuation at least) and volume. Last I checked AMTX was up 5/8 at 15 and WSTL up 1 at 17 so that gives about a price ratio of .88 which is pretty close to the merger valuation but the volume of WSTL was about 4 times that of AMTX which throws my reasoning off. It just reminds me of how little I really understand what makes the market tick. Then again, it's really hard to make any judgements when both stocks are trading on relativley low volumes anyway.
