You like the way it works. Others don't. If they feel that the existing system of law places undue restraints on their freedom, they have the right to petition the courts for redress. The courts have to consider the petition, and popularity isn't the issue.

Things change. They've been changing for a long time, and as far as I can see they've gotten better for it. This is one very small drop in a very large bucket, and if it wasn't for all the superstitious crap surrounding homosexuality, it would be a very small matter.

I still have not seen anyone present a credible argument to suggest that their specific interests or rights would be in any way infringed upon if gay people were to marry. If it's not going to hurt anyone, where's the issue?
