Xicor, Inc., and Kanda Systems Announce Marketing and Distribution Agreement

Kanda to Provide Development Kits for Xicor Mixed Signal
and System Management Products;
Advanced Development Kit for RF Applications
Xicor, Inc. (Nasdaq:XICO), and Kanda Systems, Ltd., Wales, U.K., today announced that they have entered into a marketing and distribution agreement to provide development kits that support Xicor?s entire range of system management and mixed signal products.
Kanda will design, manufacture and market these state-of-the-art development tools. All tools operate on industry standard PC platforms and will be distributed by both Xicor and Kanda. Kanda will provide all post-sales support for all development kits.
System Management Development Kits
The system management development kits will provide a common platform to support all Xicor real time clock and CPU supervisor products. These kits will allow the customer to program low voltage sense trip points, real time clock alarm levels, and write to the integrated EEPROM memory. A special breadboarding section allows customers to implement key sections of their design and explore design tradeoffs.
Mixed Signal Development Kits
The mixed signal development kits will provide a common platform to support all Xicor digitally controlled potentiometer (XDCP(TM)) and programmable analog products. This kit allows the customer to program XDCP resistance values, op amp gains, comparator threshold levels and other key analog parameters. A special breadboarding section allows customers to implement key analog blocks from their design and explore design tradeoffs prior to implementation.
A special RF design kit will provide all of the features of the mixed signal design kit plus a unique pre-configured RF board to allow customers to optimize Xicor mixed signal products in RF applications.
Xicor development kits feature a powerful, intuitive graphical user interface that allows designers to quickly configure the user programmable features of Xicor products.
