No one seems to get it yet. I am quoting from two of the Gnostic Gospels found in Egypt in 1945 that are concurrent with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They contradict in many respects the orthodox take on Christianity. Has anyone here
ever taken the time to study them? In the first 250 years of the Common Era, Gnostic thinking was equally as widespread as the orthodox version. In fact, Valentinus, a noted Gnostic scholar was even considered for Pope.

I could go on for days regarding the historical origins of religion. It is a keen area of interest to me. If you have an interest in pursuing the truth, or at least a balanced view of Christianity, check out Helen Ellerbe's recent book "The Dark Side of Christian History." Lots of facts here folks....if you dare!
