The dilemma is that these companies cannot truly be a
'collective" without sharing equity. All of the companies you mentioned are competitors, many in more than several fields. Once an envialbe opening is availalbe, they will all go for self. This is not the way to beat MSFT. It was tried many times before and has failed. That does not mean it will not work in the future, but if you look around right now, MSFT is doing a damn good job.
