steve, I understand your interpretation and I strongly disagree with it! If that interpretation is correct then the Pharisees Jesus was conversing with were guilty of the sin of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. If they stood condemned and lost -- why did Jesus continue to reason with them -- their fate was already sealed according to your interpretation. Doesn't make sense to me. Look at the verses in Matt. 11 and 12, read all of Matt. if it's necessary for context -- He was still talking to the Pharisees! >>For this reason I'm very careful about declaring a miracle or event the work of the Holy Spirit or the work of the devil.<< If you believe this, then you ought to be very careful indeed.
