How much oil can we hope to find on the Falkland Islands? Acquired seismic is still being processed, but the present expectations (middle) are as follows: IPC/Sands Tranche F, Recoverable reserves Prospect A, Expectation: ÿ358 ÿMMB; Potential: ÿÿ540 MMB Prospect B, Expectation: ÿ162 ÿMMB; Potential: ÿÿ277 MMB Prospect D, Expectation: ÿ130 ÿMMB; Potential: ÿÿ196 MMB TOTALÿÿExpectation:ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ650 ÿMMB; Potential: 1013 MMB. They have not yet decided in which of the prospects to drill the first well. It's certainly worth waiting another year for IPC's drilling activities to start! I expect some Falkland speculation this winter, and the drilling rig is scheduled to arrive in May. Tomas
