Microsoft's Achilles heel: Although I find it fairly ridiculous that it took MSFT ten years to come out with a 32 bit environment to run on machines based on the 386 and its successors, I do not think that low quality and slow development are, in general, currently a problem at microsoft. I don't think they have an "Achilles heel"; they are a well run company with a lot of strengths. I do think, though, that their current "Windows Everywhere" push may ultimately prove to be misguided; it has a certain "if the only tool you have is a hammer..." quality to it. I'm sure they'll continue to sell plently of software for a long time, I just don't think they are the sure bet to take over the entire computing world that others believe. Cheers, Dan.
