I understand your concern about SE Asia. This was the core of the argument which sold down VLSI shares since October - That poor Asian wireless sales would hurt GSM chip shipments in 98. Even though VLSI itself only sold 5% into non-Japan Asia, their largest customer was much more heavily reliant on these countries and thus VLSI would suffer.

Well, that customer just released their report last week, you can read it and decide for yourself how much impact Asia is really going to have for VLSI:
