I was telling BubbaFred that there was no Oct. FOMC meeting and the quote you copied was from him. IMO, after reading Mr. Greenspan's speech yesterday, I'd probably have to agree with you regarding no rate cut on the 29th. :^)

This is why they will not lower and will later hint at lowering in Nov to rally the market into the election.
