National Business & Disability Council Launches Web Site Linking Employers to People With Disabilities
Microsoft, K2 Design Create Innovative Online Corporate Resource
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 1998-- The National Business & Disability Council (NBDC) launched a new Web site (www.business-disability.com) today, in partnership with Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq:MSFT - news; NASDAQ: MFST - news) and K2 Design, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTWO - news, KTWOW - news) which links people with disabilities and employers throughout the country. The innovative online fully accessible service is designed to provide information and services to corporations who employ or market to people with disabilities.
The New York office of Microsoft Consulting Services funded the project which connected K2 Design and the Microsoft Corporation Accessibility Project Team. K2 adhered to rigorous accessibility standards set forth by the W3C to ensure that the site was truly accessible. The team utilized the most current technology to ensure the Web site was user-friendly for all virtual visitors.
