Okay, let me paraphrase as I seem to understand it, and if I'm wrong...

We get a good premium now if we sell September puts...conversely, the calls are a bit expensive to buy. When leaps come out, there will be significantly less demand for Septembers, premium will deflate; in addition, March split, S&P 500 and any other news, may drive stock up. Therefore Sept puts might be a good play now?

Am I completely misreading this or am I on the right track?
