I have not studied their debt profile but maybe they figured it was best to finance part of the future debt needs w/ equity. However based on the current dividend thats very near 5%. The total number of new shares issued only represents 3% of the outstanding amount. So, not too concerned but frustrating as I also started a new position in D 10% higher. Thinking of adding a few here but set my next BUY at a price that yields 5%. T & VZ now yield 5.5% as those are other good dividend payers.
