So is this. I have the impression that US aid helped built this airfield. Though since the Saudis are the largest financial supporters of the Taliban, it shouldn't be surprising. The Saudis also contribute to the payments made to the Palestinian parents of the child 'martyrs' via the Red Crescent, which gives cash premiums for each dead child.

SAUDIS NOT COOPERATING

Quoting unidentified U.S. defense officials, it said Saudi resistance to use of the Prince Sultan Air Base had forced U.S. military planners to consider moving the operations center to another country, which could delay any air strikes for weeks.
