Colonel Parker was controlling Elvis right after he made his first record for Sun Records, and I think he snuck the gospels by that bastard. Parker drove Elvis to perform at all costs,including when he was sick. The colonel was quoted as telling a doctor to shoot him up with drugs to make an appearance when he was very sick. In a way, Colonel Parker killed Elvis.
