While admitting that W-CDMA technology is the natural technology path for European GSM operators, Qualcomm is keen to state that its cdma2000 infrastructure is cheaper than comparable W-CDMA equipment. I haven't listened to the reply of the London conference yet, but I find it hard to believe that the above statement is true, that Q admited WCDMA was a better upgrade path. Anyone out there who can confirm or contradict?
