wow,,, what an argument going on,,, i'll bet it carries over and thru the weekend cuz there's so much emotion,,,,
i'm proud to be an american altho i'm not overly thrilled to see some things happen in my life that i wish would not have,,,,
i do want to give an observation about this wmd scenario,,,,
i found it incredibly strange when, after iraq 1, saddam was giving everyone all the crap about the inspectors being there blah, blah, and he threw them out,,,, he fought the united nations and anyone else about it claiming this and that,,, then all of a sudden,, "POOF" ,, he switches a complete 180 degree turn and suddenly says,, "ohh, you just want to come and look for weapons, heck, come on over,, you're more than welcome to send anybody you want to search",,, i thought then that the madman had something up his sleeve ,,,,,, he either dismantled them and sent them somewhere or they're still hidden in the desert,,, it is a fact that he had them in the past during the iran/iraq war,,,, just ask the kurds!!!
and has anyone actually read un resolution 1441 that pretty much started this whole war in the 1st place????

and it is true that saddam ruled with an iron fist,,,, beatings, executions etc.,,, good god he even whacked his own daughters husband!!!! that is a true mark of a madman,,, BUT ,,, he kept everyone in line!!!! now that he's gone, these "tribes" (who never liked each other let alone us infidels) have a new freedom to continue what they have done for centuries,,,,,,, it's really a sad comedy,,,, the good ole u.s. of a. had a good thought in freeing a nation, but now it's kind of like we have a new puppy that keeps biting us,,,,
with a religion that is promoting killing every last infidel on the planet,, what are christians (and atheists) supposed to do,,, turn the other cheek???
most people abhor war,,,, it isn't a great way of life, believe me,, but all of this has been going on since man 1st picked up a stick, it's just that back then, there were no embedded journalists to report it,,,,
