As I've mentioned, many alcoholics seem more pleasant when they are medicated. While some alcoholics are more problematic when they drink, many are actually more pleasant because they are medicated. We even added Thorazine to the morning orange juice of our most troublesome alcoholic member. This curbed his drinking dramatically. He found he felt "more alive" when he visited another campus 600 miles away, and soon transferred there. Actually, he wasn't getting his morning orange juice so was able to act out his alcoholism.
