Dear Crossy - yes, it is a good strategy [re: PUTS] I think the subprime and the auto loan arenas can give bottom feeders are a good chance, but many of them simply don't have a good business model, be they Mercury Financing or Cityscape. FLT is a great regional concern with boundless ambitions [it bought Q&R, Advanta's credit card unit etc.] I even bank with them. So I can buy its stock if I know of an entry. best, Bosco
