Bill, I thought the Canadian dollar was already devalued! I am not too savvy in the financial markets, either, but if you mean by
"devalued" that the Canadian government might directly intervene to devalue the currency, I think the chances of that happening are about the same as palm trees in Ottawa in the winter. If you mean that the international currency traders might engage in a sell off of Cdn dollars, thus driving down the price, who knows, but I can't see why the tumbling stock markets in Asia could make that happen. The Canadian dollar already trades at a substantial discount vis a vis the US dollar - what is it, about $.73?
